Buhari Asks Imams, Oyedepo, Mbaka, Others To Help Fight Boko Haram.

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has call for the help of religious leaders of faith including David Oyedepo, Father Mbaka and others, to come together and support the fight against terrorism.

The president’s Senior Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, made it known that the President made the call while speaking on telephone with the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar III.

Buhari called on religious leaders to help fight against kidnapping, banditry, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

The statement read in part, “The President called for continuous dialogue between the leaders of the two major faiths for peace and stability to reign in the country.

“President Buhari commended the Sultan for his effective leadership of the Muslim Ummah and credited him with the unity of the community sustained under his watch.”

According to the statement, the Sultan reaffirmed his commitment to the continued existence of one Nigeria.

He said the Sultanate would continue to play its part in the ongoing effort to tackle the country’s challenges.
